A Biden campaign official in 2020 explicitly denied that the president spoke with his brother about the company.
Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson on Monday excoriated President Joe Biden over his 2020 campaign claims denying any involvement in the business dealings of his son Hunter and brother James.
Appearing on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show, Johnson fielded questions as to recent revelations from the House Oversight Committee that the president received a $200,000 payment from his brother James connected to the healthcare firm Americore. “He was a big fat liar. He always has been, we’ve known about it, the press has known about it,” Johnson said. “And I’ve also said it as serious it is concerning is the Biden crime family corruption is … even more concerning scandals are the corruption and complicity of federal law enforcement, the FBI, Department of Justice, those intelligence community officials that signed on to the letter. And then, of course, the complicit and corrupt and compliant media.”
“You wouldn’t have corrupt federal agencies, if you had a media that was unbiased, and holding both sides equally accountable,” Johnson asserted. “So again, we’ve got serious problems in this in this nation. And the fact that we don’t have a free press that is largely unbiased is maybe the greatest of those problems.”
