Those of us who have been paying attention since January of 2021 have all seen the ongoing deterioration of President Biden, and it’s a matter of some concern for everyone, be they Left, Right, or center, that the man who supposedly sits at the levers of power in Washington is not all he should be. (I would argue that he’s not even within shouting distance of where he should be.)
The Messenger’s Douglas MacKinnon is of the opinion that Joe Biden, in fact, isn’t the guy who’s really in charge.
With Donald Trump and Joe Biden in the political mix for the 2024 presidential election, there is nothing normal about our politics or this campaign season. Almost no question is too crazy to ask.
With that in mind, during a recent interview with The Daily Mail, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, a Republican candidate for president next year, said: “I think everybody questions who calls the shots in the White House since Biden’s cognitive health has declined.” Certainly, President Biden’s age — he’d be 86 at the end of a second term, if he wins — and potential for cognitive decline has become a factor as his presidency has continued.
His doctor has proclaimed him healthy and capable of doing the job, but for those who do believe Biden has cognitive difficulties and that someone is behind him calling the shots, the list of “suspects” is short: former President Barack Obama, who famously sneered, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f— things up,” Biden’s former chief of staff, Ron Klain, or his the former head of domestic policy, Susan Rice. Both Klain and Rice have extensive experience working in government and in the White House.
Yes and it’s probably Obama .
