The Holidays

A Normal Day

  1. Great. We are going to get screwed with a property tax increase and we get another feel good project out of the deal. I wish they would get their financial house in order before we keep doing these projects on the heels of tax increases and the incoming month long assault of rainbow flags.

    1. Yes, but only if you cross the rainbow cross walks without getting stabbed or shot on your way there.

  2. Let’s not fix the potholes that are destroying everyone’s cars, let’s not do anything to address the crime everywhere, instead let’s RAISE everyones taxes to paint rainbow crosswalks and have feel good festivals and parks with comfy inclusive names. I give it six months before the first person gets shot there. This town is a joke and will soon be nothing but section 8 apartment communities and business that accept EBT.

  3. Will there be ample parking for library patrons who are physically challenged, elderly or mothers with young children? I anticipate that library patronage will decrease. Challenging for this population to walk from garage across a four way intersection, especially holding books or watching out for children. Four places in front of library inadequate. Way to make this area more appealing for some but not for many others. For my tax dollars I would like my library more accessible.

    1. The library is a useless vestige of ancient times. There’s no need for libraries anymore, and no money should be budgeted for libraries anymore.

  4. Actually, it will be a new home for the HOMELESS. “Givr it away free and they will come from everywhere.” I wonder how much they paid somebody to draw up the pretty pictures. How many ythousands of $ have been “spent” already? And by whose authority!?

  5. Anytime “Unity” is attached to a place name, the outcome is nearly always something other than unifying in a good way.

  6. … timing is everything.
Shouldn’t the government be focusing on well paying jobs?
But lets do a useless project in the middle of an inflation spike, while we have dilapidated roads, and crumbling infrastructure?

While reviewing the “master plan” I was intrigued by part of the basis for it.
Black people own less cars. Lets build bike lanes so they can peddle their way to their low paying job.
That will make sby more mobile and inviting for new business, knowing workers can pedal their way to work on a 90 degree day, as well as in the rain , snow, or on a 0 degree day.

Plus they claim there has been an 85% increase in bike riding.
Knowing figures matter . . . if you currently have 10 bike riders that means it has increased to 18.
They act like we in Amsterdam, where bikes and scooters are a regular mode of transportation.

Is this what happens when your elected and “win by default” officials primarily represent minority groups and not the community as a whole?

At least now the homeless will have somewhere to bathe in the new “wading pool”, and can grab a snooze in the “reading garden”.

  7. I have yet to see a food truck on their designated pad.
    anyone? anyone?
Time to pitch some homeless tents and provide a portable potty.

  8. I live in a neighborhood where shots ring out and it is in that area just a couple blocks away good luck, not a place I’d want any children. If the crime keeps being ignored everyone will move that can afford to. Mayor Jack Heath ignored what I said at the last AARP meeting about crime, blew it off just like Fake Jake now we have Fake Jack. First priority should be getting their heads out of the dirt they stand on.

  9. Well, lot at it this way, at least there will now be a convenient place to leave all of those scooters laying around town.

  10. So when in the Hell is Salisbury going to spend money where it’s really needed? Mill Street is by far the worst street in Salisbury and all they do is put up a sign telling drivers it’s a rough road. How can this road be ignored for decades and still remain open? Come on mayor and city council, start using you head for something other than a circus freak show.

  11. With the double “j”s in Annapolis Jake and Julie you will see more dumshit like this coming to Haitianbury!

  12. MORE TAXES while they give this ross building for the drugs and 20 years of paying NO TAXES. This building should have been the responsibility of SU not the taxpayer. NO body has explained how it got approved when the HOSPITAL and SU has been refused to build this high?

  13. They should put a police sub station underneath it……………they will need it. May as well keep them close and handy.

  14. I was in Walmart today and I felt like I was in Haiti. They were all using their EBT Independence cards and can’t remember their PIN numbers and there was only ONE cashier! Disgraceful.
