Businesses sometimes struggle. But a Colorado councilwoman seems to suspect that isn’t the case for Caucasians. A dastardly disparity is afoot; fortunately, she’s found a fix.
Last Thursday, Denver City Council member Candi CdeBaca appeared at the Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance Forum. While there, she made a sizable assertion about capitalism.
As you surely know, capitalism is the freedom to start one’s own business. If you buy peanut butter and bread, you may make and sell peanut butter sandwiches. You’re free to set your own price and discover whether your mix of quality and affordability entices consumers.
Whereas capitalism concerns many small businesses, socialism involves the ultimate big business: government. Under socialism, politicians take charge of all products and means of production; you can’t sell your own sandwiches, and the government decides how much sandwiches and all other goods and services cost — as well as how much all jobs pay.
Despite the above, Candi claims capitalism is “built.” Additionally, liberty is a thief:
“Capitalism was built on stolen land, stolen labor, and stolen resources.”
She concludes the ability to launch one’s own enterprise has resulted in racist harm. Therefore, we must “undo the cumulative impact of generations of that stolen wealth in all of those categories.”
How might that be accomplished? Like so:
“[I]t has to come in the form of land, labor, and resources in an ongoing fashion. … [T]here are structures that we have that could be flipped to begin…reparations.”
Nope, not going to happen. My business would close first
Keep up the Democrat RACISM & see what happens in America !
Nope. I’m with 9:47. I’d close first before I’d hand over 1 penny.
