  1. Looks like a lot of charges for negotiation. This case will be watered down to traffic violations with no criminal convictions.
Now on to the Russel Kimball case, any charges there yet?

    1. These are traffic charges-some carry up to 10 years in prison…felonies….add up the years this guy could get…pretty substantial! He’ s charged with what the police investigation would have shown…

  2. It took time and patience to get charges to what transpired that are provable.

States attorney and attorneys had to dig deep to land a slew of charges. Now lets get a good ADA to hammer home a good prosecution since murder 1 is not provable.

Tyler – come home, be a man and turn yourself in.

    1. He would never be charged with murder. Murder means it was premeditated and done on purpose. The most he would get would be vehicular manslaughter.

  3. Dear Readers,

Having read the comments posted, as well as knowing the outrage and anger over this situation, I wanted to post a few considerations. First, despite what the community (and family) would like, the State’s Attorney has charged this individual with what she and her team could prove. It goes without saying that many would have liked to have seen different charges than those filed, but given how this played out it is all she has left to work with.

Given the charges, I would imagine the SA and the defendant’s attorney have already worked out a plea bargain and I further imagine that plea bargain is what is keeping the mother and her boyfriend our of the charging documents.

Regarding a civil court action, I personally think it highly unlikely. I would imagine that a settlement has already been worked out by now and will not be disclosed to the public. From this point, I would expect

  4. Rich and well to do!
I predict probation before judgement and community service, it even that.
There will be no justice and probably no jail time.
    Time to bring back lynching.
    Bring back public hanging!

    1. I predict the same verdict 7:39. The well to do have a legal system of the own. It helps when you are friends with county prosecutors also.
