A Viewer Writes: Salisbury Maryland

I was listening to Mike Bradley on 98.5 WGMD and he was bragging about going to the Doverdale neighborhood and set up grills to to cook hot dogs and hamburgers for the kids and their parents after the get off the bus. He had city employees and “volunteers” go door to door to see what their issues were. Campaigning on the city dime. Then he was bragging about a 22 story building going up in one of the parking lots downtown. He said it will have a restaurant where you can see Poo River and Ocean City. They plan on finishing all the projects that Jake Day left unfinished. He is pathetic!

  1. Jake is no longer our Mayor thank God when can we remove the white sticks in the roads. roundabouts, and planters in the middle of what are already narrow streets, and also remove all the scooters left behind after the last failed Festival, the pan handlers all over route 13 North especially in front of Sam’s Club turn off and the stores opposite that location. Time to get a job their are plenty out there. It is time to get rid of the trash Jake Day put in this city any effort except lowering crime which we need and of current mayor is not going to do these may he loose the next election.

  2. Salisbury Md once upon a time was a great place to live and grow up but it’s a drug riddled crime haven with public schools that will guarantee your child will be unfit and unprepared for life. I’ve lived here my entire life and cannot wait to move from the sewer pit from hell and retire in a safe community where police are a loud to do there jobs and without a University that promotes hate

    1. While many may agree with your comment, let me challenge the masses that agree with you, what can be done to change it? Where do you start and keep in mind you need an end game plan. For example, do we hold law enforcement accountable for the drug trafficking? In my opinion, why does it take every 5 to 10 years before they hold stings against dealers AND kingpins? You can’t tell me their inside informants aren’t telling law enforcements who’s doing what. I’m not the expert here but as long as there’s a 5 to 10 year gap between these big arrests and prosecutions it simply allows each police departments to grow because of the crime. Do tell me/everyone what you think needs to happen to create change.

      1. For me moving away from here is the change that’s works in the timeline I have . It comes down to funding the state will cut Salisbury off if they don’t pull the woke line same thing in the schools if they don’t teach kids to be trans they see funding dry up. So unless our politicians are willing to take those financial losses no changes will ever happen

        1. I completely understand. However, in the mean time try leaving the area a better place with the time you have left. I call it Paying It Forward.

          1. I was taught to always leave something better than I found it. My area of this community that I can control is well kept

  3. Mike Bradley is a donkey. Met with him when we were looking for a DJ for our wedding. He proceeded to show up late and order a beer…it was noon.
