Toxic water from the Ohio train derailment is coming to Baltimore for treatment, a move local leaders said they oppose. But Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott and Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. nonetheless point to the decision as a vote of confidence from environmental regulators in the city’s troubled Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The city was informed by a local contractor on Wednesday night that they had been selected to treat and discharge wastewater collected from the site in East Palestine, Ohio, where residents were evacuated Feb. 3 after Norfolk Southern railcars overturned, leading to the release and burn of toxic vinyl chloride.
In a letter, the company — Clean Harbors, Inc. — said it expects to handle an initial load of 675,000 gallons. It will arrive by train.
Great, good for the economy. It has to be cleaned somewhere, let Baltimore profit from it.

So, all this toxicwaste will end up in the Chesapeake Bay. A lot of people are being paid BIG money to look the other way and pretend it is not happening. Whatever happened to the concept called “HONOR??
Well, I suspect lots of the waste will never reach Baltimore. I might possibly be spread all over the countryside like the Septic waste from the trucks on the Eastern Shore. There is not a secluded spot on any back road that has not been used for dimping septic tank waste.
Those type toxic chemicals CAN NOT be removed by sewage treatment methods. After running it threw the plant the cancer causing toxins will be discharged into the Bay, just like Salisbury’s treatment plant does. Only someone wanting to destroy the Bay would do such a thing.
Michigan and Texas stopped it going to them. How do we stop it coming here? It will get into every oyster, crab, fish, and duck in the whole bay and then into us. Where’s the outrage from Tom Horton and co.?
Start having PA clean their rivers before everything gets dumped into the bay from the Susquehanna River……then we can talk.

I just read about a toxic spill into the Delaware River on Friday. They are poisoning us on both sides.
Polluting the Chesapeake is the Democrat plan in order to demonize poultry farmers and watermen. Government is the polluter. This is how anaerobic digesters, solar panels, and wind turbines get in place.
