FDA approves Pfizer nasal spray for migraines that relieves symptoms in 15 MINUTES – and will be in pharmacies by June

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has green-lit a nasal spray for migraines that relieves symptoms in just 15 minutes.

Pfizer’s Zavzpret – which the company describes as an ‘Epipen for migraines’ – was approved on Thursday and could be available in pharmacies from July.

The New York pharma giant is yet to reveal how much it will cost, but similar sprays cost around $17 a dose.

It is one of the new treatments for migraines on the market, which the World Health Organization classifies as the second leading cause of disability globally.
