71-Year-Old Philadelphia Man Shoots At Robbers After Getting Shot In Leg, Police Say

A 71-year-old Philadelphia man engaged in a shootout Thursday with two suspects who allegedly tried to rob him, authorities said.

The incident unfolded around 11:15 p.m. near the 2400 block of North 10th Street near Cumberland Street, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. Police say the unidentified victim picked up Chinese food and was walking home when two armed men jumped him and tried to rob him.

The victim pulled out his handgun and the trio exchanged gunfire. The victim was hit in the leg and taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition, according to Small.

Small said the suspects fired at least two shots while the victim emptied his gun.

“We do know that the 71-year-old victim fired multiple shots,” Small said. “Unknown at this time if he struck any of these two perpetrators, but we’re checking area hospitals at this time.”

  1. Blue wave, hows that defund crap worked out? Elderly now empty their clip and ask questions later!

Country is short on doctors, nurses, LEOs, EMTs, military and teachers just to name a few occupations. The FED is going to raise rates again and groceries, electricity, natural gas and oil is too damn expensive.

You have done NOTHING for us….NOTHING.
