Sounds like they already have people in mind and are trying to change qualification requirements to clear the path. Lots to be embarrassed about on both sides of the table. Shanie looks totally bored with the meeting, Cannon is a bully, the x-city attorney who left our butts out to dry on the failed WWTP is back on a govt payroll…need I go on. As for the matter at hand, the citizens have elected a new County Executive. We have spoken. The money is in the budget for her to hire the staff she believes she needs to serve the county. If we the people don’t like what she does we can remove her or replace her during the next election. There’s definitely something going on that we can’t see. Anyone?

This was one of the most insane train wrecks of a meeting I’ve ever seen, and that says a lot for our county. Giordano is totally out of her depth and acts like a five-year-old who didn’t get enough ice cream.
That’s exact what has happen. Julie thought all she was going to do as County Executive was tell other’s to do the work. Now, she’s found out the job requires her to work long days from the moment she enters the office and until we’ll after she’s leaved. That’s not uncommon when people have no idea the enormity of managing a government job (even at the local level) run for elected office thinking they can make a difference. Good luck sweetheart.
The Redhead sitting at the table is RUNNING THE COUNTY! She does not like Julie but is acting to her face like she is holding her hand. This woman feels she is above anyone in county or city government and all should shut up and agree with everything she says or else. Thank you Mr Albero for posting this meeting so everyone can see what they put in office to collect almost a half a million dollars for 4 years. Instead of worrying about pushing Mike V over the top with whiskey may be you should go from department to department and find out the real reason there is constantly 30 to 45 full time job vacancies thru out Wicomico county departments.
so if that’s true than Julie is directly at fault for keeping her (Pam Oland) on her staff……she promised all this “change” and she’s as status quo as the rest of the them…just a bit more mentally unstable…

And I thought the new execu lady dismissed Paul Silber from his duties as county attorney? He really needs to look at this video and see himself all hunched over the table and no one can understand what he says.

Why are the taxpayers paying the man at the end of the table 130k a year to say nothing and breathe?
What’s being done here is an attempt to create high pay, new positions, for friends of the County Executive and shut up Department Heads.
Yes Pam you did violate the charter and you need to grow some thicker skin or get out of the kitchen.

The “Greater Salisbury Committee” has a task force…” getting into the wastewater Treatment BUSINESS”…” full time employees to run Committee!” Wake up folks. We need to encourage property owners to use the best septic tank technology. We don’t need to be enriching the pockets of others and building a more robust bureaucracy.
Don’t forget that Mike Dunn now runs Greater Salisbury Committee. Just ask Joe about Mike’s endeavors and ribbing the tax payers. He has a long, dark history of back room deals. Let’s not make the same mistake again and have GSC in the driver’s seat.

It looks like Josh hastings is getting a backbone — probably because he wants Ms. Mar-a-Lago to be one and done as the County Executive.
Pam Oland should be fired! If they hired those two bozos Dan McHugh as hired under roads he should be working in roads, she was hired under assistant finance, she should be working in finance and “as other duties” it should be other duties in those departments. Regardless, what experience did either of them have to get hired under those departments? Dan was hired under roads, he should be working under roads, what experience did he have besides running his mouth to get that job? Way to go cornbread for helping make that happen! All of them should be held accountable. This already smells of corruption! They raised the amount of purchases from 1000$ to 4,999$ that’s tax payer money. Yes I agree that amount should have changed but to 25,00 to 3000$ would have done the job. If you’re paying 5000 for a piece of furniture then you’re spending to much. I can do a better job at shopping then that. Not even a month on the job and we already smell corruption. Good job Shanie, Josh and John. is calling all of that out while Shane sat in silence and James was ready to align with her. Hold them accountable!

Hey Julie, If you want a good person for the job you and Pam expressed interest with hire Ernie Davis. 20 plus year MSP. Business owner with no judgements or bankruptcy “hint hint” and was on the council for 7 years. I am sure he can teach you a few things starting with how to talk to the council and never lie to them because they always find out.
Maybe he can teach her how to pay her bills? And people trust her with their tax money! Crazy! Ernie is more qualified to be public safety then Dan McHugh is to work in the roads department. He most certainly is not qualified to be in the executives office.
