Maryland’s Dorchester County is ground zero for the effects of climate change on Chesapeake Bay, where precious shoreline is vanishing below rising waters and increased erosion. People have historically sought to live as close as possible to waterfronts, but it may be time to retreat from the shores. Can communities overcome the challenges of adapting to life on the edge of a rising tide?
Can someone please explain to me how water levels can be higher at one county’s shoreline and not any other county’s? I can’t wait to hear this logic.
Follow the path of the water. Delmarva is pretty much sea level. 5 feet of additional perm water. Poof goes OC, Fenwick, Bethany, Rehoboth….hell delmarva since.that water will enter the Chesapeake Bay.
East coast Mountains safe haven.
We will be dead way before super sea rise. Enjoy each day and screw sea.rise. it will happen.
Who the hell wants to live in Cambridge anyway?
Quick access to the Chesapeake Bay
Tom Horton is too dumb or too driven by one narrative of “MaNmAdE gLoBaL wArMiNg” to understand geology, let alone the last ice age and its current effect on land subsidence.
its all bs hype with a get rich agenda and you aint the one who’s gonna get rich!
