Six Months Later And Still No Charges

It’s been SIX extremely long months since Gavin Knupp was struck and killed on Grays Corner Road in Berlin. The only update, well, they did lower the speed limit on that road, like that will do anything!

Nevertheless, perhaps it’s time we look at some of the issues at hand that no one, (aside from SBYNews) is talking about. Pedestrian laws, toxicology report and so on. So Gavin was crossing a road without a crosswalk. Could it be that the State Police and States Attorney are looking at this horrific accident in which the pedestrian is actually at fault and no one is telling anybody? Then there’s the question, what did the toxicology report say? I’ll simply leave it at that.

After six months, let’s get real people, I think it’s time the TRUTH comes out from our law enforcement officials. Don’t you dare shoot the messenger here people. Open your damn eyes and face reality. There will be no murder or manslaughter charges in this case and perhaps the Russel Kimball case, (hit and run) a few months later.

My guess is that pedestrian error in both cases is the reason no charges have been filed in either case. Now our public officials needs to drop that bomb, (information) so people can move on. SIX months of this injustice is complete BS. Seems to me, hindering such information is a crime in itself. Too many people are being hurt.

    1. Absolutely. Now tell us, who exactly was the driver? Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s pretty obvious but there is no proof or confession. Finally, they have one shot at these charges and without evidence/proof they can’t charge anyone.
I know this SUCKS but it’s reality and anyone thinking it should take six, (or more) months to file charges is nuts.
If I were the Knupp’s I’d be going nuts. I published an article almost a month ago that was titles “No Justice For Gavin”. Unfortunately I may be right and that’s very sad. God will be his justice as I cannot imagine that those who were involved will EVER enjoy any part of the rest of their LIVES, not life.

  1. I sort of agree with you Joe. I will say this though, If you get caught on a red light camara the owner automatically gets charged. If you weren’t driving and you provide the name of the person who had your vehicle at the time then they will be charged, no exceptions unless you have reported it stolen. I think a lot of people that have been charged with leaving the scene did not confess but were charged anyway. If one has to confess, most hit and run accidents would not be prosecuted in my opinion.

    1. Being there’s a death involved they only get one shot at such mentioned charges. In this case there are no images proving who the driver was. As long as they remain silent, (as unbelievable as this is) it will remain a cold case.

      1. Joe,
Do you know of any reason why Ralph D was not charged with obstruction and hindering an investigation for hiding the car in his garage for several days? I mean, I don’t know much of anything in this world, but that seems like a very obvious place to start.

        1. Great question. However, while Ralph had to know the vehicle was in the garage, who put it there? Nevertheless, I agree, charges should’ve been filed already. Let Ralph prove it wasn’t him or he didn’t know. Keep in mind though. Ralph allegedly did call his attorney the next morning stating that vehicle was involved in that accident.
