Over the last several years, women’s sports have seen multiple trophies won and several records broken by biological men, who have been allowed to compete alongside women due to claiming themselves to be “transgender.”
According to the Daily Caller, the scope of such athletic interference ranges from school sports to Olympic competitions. One of the most prominent examples is Will Thomas, a biological male who now calls himself Lia, who has been swimming with the women’s team at the University of Pennsylvania. Back when he still competed with men, Thomas was ranked #462 nationally; ever since switching to the women’s side, he has ranked #1.
Another example is CeCe Telfer, a man who now competes in women’s outdoor track and field at Franklin Pierce University. In 2019, he won the NCAA Division II title for completing the 400-meter hurdles.
In weightlifting, Laurel Hubbard is a man who now believes himself to be a woman and thus insists on competing with the women. In 2019, Hubbard won two gold medals at the Pacific Games, and went on to become the first biological male to compete on the women’s Olympic team, though he failed to win any medals at the Olympics.
Multiple prominent female athletes have since spoken out about the inherent unfairness in letting men compete with women in the name of “diversity.”
“There is no equity, fairness, sportsmanship or opportunity for women to succeed at an elite level without sex-based categories,” said Riley Gaines, a former collegiate swimmer and the spokeswoman for Stand with Women at the Independent Women’s Forum. “It is crucial that as a society we open our eyes and recognize the irrefutable damage that is being done to women’s sports and everything Title IX was created for.”
“There is a common misconception that born-male athletes participating in women’s sports is a non-issue because it’s not happening often, but that’s a false narrative,” Gaines continued. “There are numerous examples of young women of all ages and sports being directly impacted by transgender athletes competing in the women’s category.”
BS. If all these girls whining about having to compete with men who have turned trans really care about”fair” competition then they can convert to being men. It’s a free market and men can be women and women can be men, and the best will rise to the top. The others are losers and should stop complaining. To win, you do what it takes. End of story. Simple.
