Anyone else notice more and more businesses (not hotels motels) in OC, closed for the winter have turned all of their lights off? Used to be, their outside marketing lights would blaze all during winter. NO MORE and rightfully so.

wondering if julie g is going to look into the large amount of waste at parks and tourism in this county. the “workers” at the civic center and owens branch keep bumping into each other. somebody is gonna get hurt running to the break room every 15 minutes. she needs to either cut the staff in half or buy them all helmets.

I have been waiting for this for a long time after leaving the county with 20 plus years. Julie has already started getting rid of department heads. The H.R director with a personality of a frog and the county attorney who has been stealing taxpayers money for years are history after December 6. She really needs to look at the Civic Center administration and find out what Chuck Rousseau does to justify a 93k a year salary and explain it to the taxpayer. While there question Steve Miller and Katie Rouse on what there job duties are and explain there bloated salaries to the taxpayers. Then maybe question the staff what they think of there administration without repercussion from there supervisors and department heads. While your at it Julie inquire with the local audit company who does the Countys financial audit and see what they think of Pam Olands financial operation and book keeping.
Julie your only halfway done with your enema of the H.R.department and you know who is next!

rec and parks sends their employees to winterplace park in the mornings where nobody can see them. (except for those of us walking our dogs). it’s quite obvious that they have nothing to do, all at taxpayer expense. they will even make jokes about it and tell me they wait until 245, head back to the shop and punch out at330, its a great big joke. GREAT SUPERVISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Julie we think you are the answer to a lot of problems here. however watch out for those sucking up to you the most – nothing but smoke and mirrors.
