Stoner Nation: More Americans Smoke Weed Than Tobacco, Survey Finds

For the first time ever, more Americans are smoking marijuana than tobacco.

The number of Americans smoking marijuana has reached 16%, the highest portion recorded since the pollster began asking the question in 2013, according to a new Gallup survey released this month. Just 11% of Americans say they’ve smoked cigarettes in the past week, though.

The rate of cigarette smoking was the lowest Gallup has ever recorded, dating back to the 1940s. The highest rate ever recorded was 45% in 1954.

  1. A real cash crop that finally is taxed. Talk about new revenue stream.

Key part, big tobacco will not lose out, they will market harder with the other 8.5 billion humans on earth. Just because the USA isnt smoking anynore doesnt mean the rest of the world. By the by, we dont control the rest of the world either. But we can make money off of them!!!!!

Think about it. USA is only 330 million and 1 land mass. The rest of the world is about 8.5 BILLION with 6 other continent’s. We really are small in the big scheme.
