COVID-19-related government benefit programs relied on the honor system to combat abuse, resulting in massive fraud and costing the government as much as $100 billion, sources told The New York Times.
The federal government distributed $5 trillion in pandemic aid through three pieces of legislation and relied heavily on applicants’ honesty when applying for benefits, according to the NYT. The aid programs were widely abused by individuals who gave the government fake names, listed fake businesses and provided other false information while applying for grants and other COVID-19 benefits.
Unemployment claims and loan applications were rife with fraud, and efforts by the Labor Department and the Small Business Administration to screen applications let obvious cases of fraud slip through the cracks, according to the NYT. One person collected unemployment from 29 different states; one person received 10 loans for 10 different non-existent bathroom renovation businesses using the email address of a burrito restaurant; one Postal Service employee received an $82,900 loan for a business called “U.S. Postal Services.”
Honor system? There is no honor left in this country.

I hope those of us who have suffered from their poison vaccines and monoclonal infusion can receive money to pay for what they did, I have suffered daily, nose bleeds that don’t stop, lumps all over my legs and that are hard as concrete, thumbs and all joints that are in constant pain. Therapy here in Salisbury was an absolute failure they discharged me after less than 3 mos with no notice or explanation just “todays your last day ” and giggles from the instructor. I thought maybe it was my insurances fault but was told no by Medicare and United Health Care that I had coverage as long as I needed it do to my problems listed above. My doctors are now admitting it was related to treatments that I received for Covid followed by an infusion that includes MICE PROTEIN! Be careful what you take and read the ingredients and side effects before you take it, I pray for you all out there.
I bet most of them figured out how to steal from the government by watching the government !!!! Maybe they can deferr the IRS police to go after the covid people
