The Key Bridge piers are providing good fishing for white perch. Working dropper rigs baited with grass shrimp or pieces of bloodworm near the shallower bridge piers and old pier pilings is a good tactic.

The feisty bluegill is one of Maryland’s treasures that entertain anglers young and old in small community ponds and larger reservoirs.

July 4 is a free fishing day!

  1. Hammock and tent city has arrived under the OC pier. Holiday weekend, they arrived prior to Sunrise. Breakfast burritos cooking on hotplates, Corona already flowing. Think im kidding? Head down there and see smell for yourselves.

  2. So we’re at 215pm Sat, route 90 and 50 the traditional long backups. Rain will come later and lots of folks on the water. Beachers should be almost ready to hit the showers and then the onslaught at the restaurants. Last nite was pretty quiet and early…..inlet parking was empty at 10pm….roads werent bad at all.

    Tonite should be fun!
