Armed robbery Shore Stop Pittsville

Date and Time: 6/22/22 @ approximately 4:50 am
Location: 7126 Friendship Road, Pittsville, MD (Wicomico County)

Narrative; On the above date and time Salisbury Barrack received a 911 telephone call from an employee from Shore Stop in Pittsville who advised the store had just been robbed. The suspect did have a long gun according to the employee. The information given to the barrack at the time was the suspect left in a white hatchback vehicle and the suspect was a white male. Shortly afterwards the Salisbury barrack received another 911 call for a driver driving recklessly in the area of WB Rt 50 and Forest Grove Road. While the caller was on the telephone with the duty officer the caller advised an object was raised and pointed at him from inside the white passenger vehicle. The caller remained on the telephone and continued to provide pertinent information. The suspicious vehicle went to the Royal Farms located on Walston Switch. There the suspect(s) entered the store and quickly exited the store.

As the vehicle departed the Royal Farms, it was noted the vehicle was being operated without any headlights. A trooper from the MSP Aviation Command was near the Royal Farms and was able to observe what took place at the Royal Farms. As the suspect vehicle was traveling west on Rt 50 the Trooper continued to follow the vehicle until backup arrives. MSP BK E personnel joined in and observed the vehicle in the area of Hobbs Road and Rt 50. MSP units activated their emergency equipment and the driver failed to stop. A vehicle pursuit was authorized. Several resources were utilized included successfully deploying stop-sticks. The vehicle pursuit ended in the area of Rt 13 and Gordy Road in Salisbury. The suspect driver and passenger fled on foot and were shortly apprehended by troopers. No citizen injuries were incurred including the store clerk. Minor property damage was incurred by the inability of the 15-year-old driver to maintain control of the vehicle. After being arrested, two weapons were found inside the vehicle and seized. The juvenile suspects were unharmed.

Currently the juveniles are being held pending a hearing with the Department of Juvenile Services. The vehicle was said to belong to a family member of which they were not aware of the use by the juveniles nor was there permission given to either juvenile for the use of said vehicle.

Charges include; Armed Robbery, Robbery, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Reckless
Endangerment, Theft, Motor Vehicle Unlawful Taking, Unauthorized Removal of a vehicle, Malicious
Destruction of Property and a variety of traffic offenses.

    Maybe if they changed the name things would be better.

    Those are obviously toy guns and the article never states that.

    1. Those 2 rats should still be charged toy gun or real gun. Their intent was to use them to cause fear and steal money. Had they pointed their toys at one of the officers they would be dead. The world would probably be better off if they had.

  3. I sure hope they don’t get PBJ and then kill a cop, or anybody else for that matter, 3 years down the road. However that sure looks like the path they are taking.
