Maryland’s Most Wanted | Felon escapes federal custody, sought by U.S. Marshals

It was just weeks before Christmas in 2021.

Investigators say Montray Gross, 37, is serving a six-year prison sentence in Baltimore for an armed robbery on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

But on December 14, 2021, investigators say Gross walked out of a federal residential reentry housing facility, where he had recently been placed.

Now, the U.S. Marshals Service has joined the search for the fugitive.

Investigators say Gross was last seen on the Eastern Shore and is now also a person of interest in another robbery.

  1. BOLO he’s from Salisbury. They waited 6 months before they notify people that someone could be in their area? Notice you won’t see this on the 2 local channels. They are both worthless.

  2. Wouldn’t that be something if he indeed is here on the island. Very surprised he hasn’t been caught with all the closed circuit cams as well as the regular cams everywhere!
