A teenage dirt biker has been charged with the homicide of a 17-year-old skateboarder, after he struck the youth while speeding and doing wheelies on the streets of Philadelphia earlier this month.

Surveillance footage of the May 15 collision shows suspect Kevin Rubio, 19, driving the street-illegal bike down Front Street in North Philadelphia, striking local high schooler Jesus Gomez Rosario at alarming speed.

The killer driver cops say is Rubio then fled the scene, leaving Rosario to die on the road.

Rosario had been skateboarding west along intersecting Allegheny Avenue when he was hit around 10:30 pm, cops said at the time.

Rosario, who was a junior at nearby Esperanza Academy Charter School and an aspiring pilot, according to his family, was severely injured as a result of the and died two days later at Temple University Hospital.

  1. It’s a real problem there. FLASH mobs of ATV’s and dirt bikes sometimes 60 or more running red lights doing wheelies endangering pedestrians and wreaking havoc. It’s all a performance to post on social media for cred. Same with the carjacking it’s not to sell the car for scrap it’s to joy ride around and film until they run out of gas. That’s how they are catching the dopes.
Everyones 15 minutes of fame and likes.

  2. In the city here we have the four wheelers, stolen scooters, dirt bikes running up and down the streets no respect for drivers, walkers, kids on bicycles I thought there was supposed to be a law they were not allowed on city streets in traffic too but they do all the time check out the blocks from Tidal Health to Snow Hill Rd they are all over traveling and racing each other, there will be many accidents this summer for sure and for certain. Thank Fake Jake for all the scooters being used and everything else illegal he may have cancelled the Spring Fest but he put this mess here and you can thank him and his supporters, stupidest child mayor ever.
