Traffic stop leads to large drug bust in Salisbury, police say

Salisbury police arrested five people Thursday after a series of traffic stops led to the seizure of a large quantity of drugs.

Officers said they initially stopped Monique Winsor, 30, of Salisbury and her passenger Kevin Corton, 39, of Salisbury for a traffic violation around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers searched Winsor’s car and said they found a significant amount of heroin inside the vehicle.

Further investigation sent officers to a home in the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue where officers believed drugs were being sold. Officer stopped two vehicles leaving the home.
