Greetings SBY,
There is an article in the works about the 9th grade required reading of this man/child sex act book?
This is the fourth inappropriate book brought to the attention of the Somerset County Board of Education by parent, Mr. Lankford, according to the Crisfield Times. Excerpts were played for the Board at the February 15, 2022 meeting.
Apparently, many concerned parents were disappointed in not being able to speak with Superintendent Gaddis after the meeting as the lights were turned off allowing Mr. Gaddis to flee via the back door.
It seems that the Superintendent may approve of this literature genre since he fled the meeting.
Please covered the inappropriate reading material in the Somerset County schools.
Doesn’t Somerset County have a curriculum committee which includes board members? Doesn’t the curriculum have to be approved by the board. If not, some changes need to be made. I cannot believe that this book was ever presented to any board member. If it were, that board member needs to go. Some changes should have been put in place after the first book was presented to the board.
Must have been the Principal & Teachers , even Students too !!!!! LOL LOL
Was Jake Day’s WIFEY in the Book ?????? LOL LOL
It’s possible that the superintendent never heard of the book before the meeting. Superintendents delegate the choice of books to committee, then signs off on the list of what might be well over 100 new
books in any given school year. He may have felt ambushed and was struck with a sudden burning desire to have a meaningful chat with the book selection chairperson before addressing the public.
How about we explain ourselves a little better. There’s some nasty book by some nasty guy that might be allowed to be read by students. No everyone has ESP to understand what your point is.
