TidalHealth wants to make our community aware of a change in masking policy at both of our hospitals.
Starting Monday, January 17, TidalHealth will no longer be allowing cloth masks to be worn as facial protection by people arriving for procedures, testing or as support persons where permitted at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford, De. or TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Md. Cloth masks have proven to be less effective in preventing the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
We’re encouraging people coming to our hospitals to please wear medical grade ear loop or N-95 masks. If you don’t have access to either or arrive in a cloth mask, our healthcare team will be happy to give you an ear loop mask for you to wear at all times during your stay with us.
As a reminder, there is no patient visitation at this time at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury and TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford.
TidalHealth thanks you for your cooperation in helping us to control the spread of COVID-19. We remind you to please wear a mask in public settings, practice social distancing and wash and sanitize your hands often.
And so it begins…..cloth took care of all but WAS not helpful….now the next sev months will be n95 n96s……damn. Moooooooooooooooo to slaughter
If the government were serious about masks, they would decide which was effective and then provide them to everyone out of the so-called COVID relief funds. But nooooo, we’re going to be left hanging and, according to them, vulnerable.
My favorite student is the one who wears the mesh rhinestone mask. It looks beautiful on her. And after all, these things are just accessories anyway. If the CDC REALLY thought masks made the difference, they’d have insisted on N95s all along. This has gone on too long. Let’s all just get the omicron and put this virus to bed. And if you happen to have 3 or more comorbidities, play it safe and get the vaccines (and maybe a booster or three..and wear the mask. Not the rhinestone one lol?) And for all of my military friends out there, please share your experience with MOPP gear.)
How much and where is TH selling them?
They will be adding them to your bill with a 1,000% mark-up, Insurance providers will pay 5% and you get the rest. It should be around $ 100.00 each, give or take.
Lol….
Do not comply.
Tidal health admitted my wife’s friends husband because he was having trouble breathing. She was allowed to be at his bedside.
She had to leave to attend to some pressing business and when she returned, this is what they told her —
Your husband (of 30 years) is dying. Maybe in the next 12-18 hours. Prepare for that and no, YOU CANNOT SEE HIM. We will tell you when he dies and you can wait in the car if you’d like.”
True story.
I just can’t believe he was the only one to die that day. Read between the lines.
Pray you don’t need a hospital any time soon.
TH has a bunch of calloused, uncaring nurses who treat you like shit if you haven’t had the vax. They don’t treat you too much better if you have been vaxed. They think it is their duty to repremand you if you weren’t vaxed and make you feel guilty. This is not what they are being paid big bucks to do. They are being paid to help cure you, not discipline you. So, back off, some of you grouchy ones.
Hasn’t been the same since it became Tidal Health they even went back to paper claims , we had electronic billing back in the eighties. They do not know what they are doing especially with billing. Wish it were still PRMC we were better off trust me I worked there then no body in the business end has a clue.
This might become a problem for Tidal Health since the news today is stating that 60% of the K95 masks are fake. Sorry Tidal Health did you look into this before you made your insane policy? I really want to know how you can test for Covid and especially the Omicron Variant what happened to its friends didn’t Omicron arrive a little early?
MCLAINE 7:40…………………….That is the saddest story I have heard. It shows you how compassionate those nurses are. I thought part of their training was dealing with sensitive issues like dealing with the family of a sick and/or dying patient. Apparently not around here! That nurse should be sent for retraining or fired!
