Has anyone noticed that at North Walmart when you check out at the cashier attended checkout, you get to the point where you are getting change back and suddenly the cashier will say,” I’m sorry sir but we have run out of pennies, since it’s only 3 cents could you just let it slide”. Most people will simply say, “okay” because they don’t want to hold up the line and leave. After all, it’s just 3 cents. Imagine how this adds up to quite an extra revenue source for Walmart.
I thought that this scenario was just in the Salisbury area but not true. While in Waldorf, Md. Walmart, this exact same scenario came up again. So exactly what is going on here? I went to the bank across from Walmart and asked if they were short of change and if Walmart ever came over to get change when they ran out. Got a “No” to both questions. Of course the cashiers have no answers and I’m sure management just keeps them in the dark.
I’ve often gone to the self-checkout but found that they accept credit cards only. I used to be able to use cash. Not now. Does anyone know what happens to your credit card information at Walmarts once they have your information. Is this information then sold to other companies or even made available to China? I don’t know.
I know that I can go to the Salisbury ACME, use a self checkout and get the correct change. If there’s any problem an attendant is right there. When I go to a cashier there is never any problem with change. So what is it with Walmart?

Walmart buys mostly from China. China is red army. So Walmart funds the red army. So in reality Americans are contributing to our own demise. The pennies? slush funds for someone id say john?

Yes they use your purchase data from the credit card for many things, just log into your walmart online and you will see what you bought your last grocery trip that you paid with on a credit card.
And if you pay cash they just match up your photo to your account from the camera on the top of the register screen.
I shop less and less there. Trillion dollar company ripping pennies off customers. Ridiculous.
Haven’t shopped at Walmart since 2017, and don’t miss it one bit.
The North Walmart is a very poorly run store. There are more empty shelves than not. They, of course blame it on the supply chain, some of which may be true since everything they sell comes from China.
Yeah, they figure you won’t care and it’s not illegal. They work off people being in a hurry. And they have records when the register is over, so they know exactly what they’re screwing the public out of. Common bunch for sure.
wakmart is a shit company and I make it a point to never shop there. just what can you buy there you cant buy somewhere else?
the vast majority of Americans are such lazy ignorant people! dont believe me then take a trip to your local walmart and look at the slugs shopping there!
