‘So Easy I Was Cruising’: Teammate Says Penn’s Trans Swimmer Boasted After Destroying Competition

Swimmer says female teammates cried on pool deck before race

A second member of the University of Pennsylvania’s swim team has reportedly come forward to speak about the calamitous effect teammate Lia Thomas, a biological man, has had on the team while Thomas smashes women’s records in competitions and leaves the women far behind. The teammate told Outkick that Thomas bragged after winning the 200 freestyle at the University of Akron Zippy Invitational, “That was so easy, I was cruising,” and after winning the 500 freestyle but disappointed with the time, boasted, “At least I’m still No. 1 in the country” in front of teammates.

In November, Thomas smashed the record in the 200 free time and the second-fastest 500 free time, with both times breaking Penn program records. Over the weekend, Thomas won the 1650 free by a whopping 38 seconds, the 500 free by 12 seconds, and the 200 free by seven seconds.

“Well, obviously she’s No. 1 in the country because she’s at a clear physical advantage after having gone through male puberty and getting to train with testosterone for years. Of course you’re No. 1 in the country when you’re beating a bunch of females. That’s not something to brag about,” the teammate commented.

The teammate said her fellow women teammates were crying on the Akron pool deck because they knew they had no chance of winning with Thomas competing. She said, “They feel so discouraged because no matter how much work they put in it, they’re going to lose. Usually, they can get behind the blocks and know they out-trained all their competitors and they’re going to win and give it all they’ve got. Now they’re having to go behind the blocks knowing no matter what, they do not have the chance to win. I think that it’s really getting to everyone.”

“After just five meets and the Akron Invitational, Thomas has not just destroyed opponents. The Penn freestyle records are being rewritten by a swimmer who was second-team All-Ivy league in 2018-19 — as a male,” Outkick noted.

  1. Denial of the reality that you’re a man is a sickness. Hopefully laws will be set in place to stop the likes of you from stealing opportunities from real women!!You’re a loser not a winner. Until women real women unite and stop this insanity it will continue…it must be stopped.

  2. Call me a homophobe, bigot whatever, I don’t care! This is such total BS! We are having men compete in women’s sports because they “identify” as a woman? It’s not fair to the REAL women who are competing. Yes, I said it! REAL Women! I’m not being narrow-minded, or what ever you wish to call me. But science doesn’t lie, if I remember my basic biology correctly your DNA has either XX or XY. Not XYZ or whatever the hell you think you are! If you go to the doctor, they treat your body depending what your sex is, they may call you miss if that’s who you identify as, but you can be certain they are going to treat your illness or injury by what your biological sex is.

  3. Some girl swimmer’s father should wait for this whacked out weirdo outside of the training facility and do things to him.

I know I have a man’s body, but I really feel like I’m only 11 or 12 years old. I think I’m going to play Little League baseball this year. Think of the records I’ll be breaking.

This strange and unusual thing SHOULD be ashamed. Or maybe crippled by a father whose daughter trained for YEARS to become a champion swimmer only to watch some strange creature play-acting as a woman just walk to poolside and win by 38 seconds !!!! Read that again. 38 seconds…..in a sport where the normal margin of victory MAY be a second or two.
I’ll bet all his prissy b**** friends were just squealing with delight.
Competitors don’t cry when other competitors show up — like the article said, each one believes they can win based on their training and willpower.
They WILL cry, however, when someone shows up with skills and power beyond anything they could EVER hope to achieve.
    C’mon, Dad, where you at???

  4. They should only be allowed to compete in their own freak-fest tourney with like individuals–not in a womens or mens competition. This country has gone nuts. It is so embarrassing.

    1. They will lose their scholarships and no longer will be able to afford the school, after all those years of training their dreams are crushed.
