I don’t understand this post. Is there a reason other than her age and the fact that she is a teacher that you don’t consider her qualified? I’m not arguing with you, I just want more facts. Is there a part of her platform that you disagree with? Who are you endorsing otherwise and what qualifications does that person have? What other choices are out there that you would recommend?
First of all, she has never run a multi million dollar BUDGET. Secondly, she doesn’t have the MANAGEMENT experience to manage hundreds of employees and lastly you don’t even know who will be filing, (I do). That being said, other candidates will be more qualified for such an important position. To be completely honest with you, I think you are coming off like a fool. I have NOTHJING against this young lady and I applaud her stepping up. She’s not ready in life for such a position and that’s how I feel. Using FEEL GOOD words and phrases in a platform, well, don’t you think we have all been more.

No, she has experience with wage garnishments too! First hand when she was sued by Choptank Electric. She also has experience with bankruptcy. Wicomico citizens better think long and hard before turning over the county budget to her for the next 4 yrs. As a wicomico citizen, I am deeply concerned and outraged.

I am not personally familiar with Giordano. I am familiar with John Psota. I wish neither of the two any ill will. Other than the fact that Psota has resided in the area for close to sixty years as opposed to Giordano’s twenty, Psota is a retired law enforcement officer and Giordano is a teacher. Are either one of them truly qualified for the position of a county executive?

Psota has done NOTHING for Wicomico County but roll with the tide. His finance director is running Wicomico County. Abolish the County Executive office and all the unneeded red tape and spending that comes with it and get the hell rid of Wilber too.
Psota wants to hang on to the 120k plus salary he is sucking in . Yes thats right! He is drawing the county administrator salary. He never came down from the 3rd floor of the G.O.B. until until other people filed to run against him and himself and Rino Cannon ambushed Larry D last month during the council meeting. He tells Larry he needs a public apology to Mr Miller. Mr Miller draws a 6 digit salary or very close so he should be able to take some heat from council members are get the hell out of the kitchen. He has done a terrible job as director since he was appointed.

I am proposing a referendum to have the Wicomico County Executive position placed on the election ballot. We have not had a County Executive for two years and we certainly do not need one now. Vote this useless office out now!

I’ll note that across the years some of the best conservative Republicans locally have also been teachers. I’m willing to listen and learn about her and other candidates. Current appointed fill-in hasn’t impressed me.

Is that what you really want? Just think, he can provide more tax dollars in property tax credits to his buddy’s in the Chamber of Commerce. Perhaps he’ll approve more pickle ball courts and when they go by the wayside his LLC will pick them up the properties for nothing at the taxpayers expense. It would all be legal of course. Remember the last deal he passed on Horizons. It supposedly went to the County Ethics Committee who said everything was just fine and there was nothing to worry about and everything was above board. Psota has gone along with EVERYTHING John Cannon has proposed including all the back alley deals downtown for the sby elite. At least with no executive office the taxpayers do not have to grease that department and all the staff including Lisa the Smoker and out to lunch A.K. You have mostly a 4 to 3 vote on the council since Rino Cannon is taking care of his buddies with Mccain and Joke Hastings included. Ernie I think uses his head and votes for the people who elected him but remember he is a democrat and will flow with the tide.

The smart, best and easiest solution to help the County Council is to get rid of John Cannon. He’s in it for himself, is a RINO and has no interest in the citizens of this County – outside of his own buddies. FIND and put some honest conservatives on the County Council and yes – no need for a County Executive!
Whether she is qualified for County Executive or would do a good job is beside the point because that position should be eliminated.
I was rather surprised or shocked to learn of this person running for a political position, considering there are no rules. With her reputation as an arrogant self indulged person there can only be one reason for running. She wants to boost already over inflated ego. She has no political experience or any type of professional resume to make her qualified position. She should realize if anyone opposing her wanted to do any “shallow” digging for dirt at her place of employment it would be worth the time. Hard to beleive she would leave herself exposed. Tired of the political B.S.! Can we just get someone to clean up the trash at Harmon field around the parking lot and basketball court? Always litter there and even seen a county truck and trailer there with 2 occupants just sitting. I can not believe we are going to expand this location and cannot even keep it tidy now and right around the corner from the civic center. What does it take to keep this location clean?
