Hello Laurel Families, this is Dr. Larrimore with some urgent information, so please forgive me in calling at this late hour.

Tomorrow, Thursday, December 9, out of an abundance of caution, The Laurel School District will be closing due to numerous reports of threats circulating on social media.  Law enforcement has been notified and is investigating.  

While continuing our students’ education is highly important, keeping our students and staff safe is our top priority.    So, again, out of an abundance of caution, all Laurel schools will be closed for tomorrow, Thursday, December 9.  

Again, I apologize for the late message, however, I wanted to ensure that our parents had as much advance notice as possible.  

 This message will be delivered again at 6:00 AM, and I look to provide an update Thursday afternoon.
