A Viewer Writes: Pearl Harbor

I have been watching History channel most of morning. They covered Dec. 7, 1941 in depth.
I was able to visit Arizona twice while in the Navy.
The second time was 1972 when we went to Nam aboard Kitty Hawk and stopped at Pearl for two days.
I went to Arizona early one morning. Many tourist were already out there.
In case you have never heard, survivors of 1941 Arizona could have their cremated remains  “buried at sea” from Arizona to be with their shipmates.
A burial service was going on. Remains of a survivor in Urn was handed off the deck to a diver that placed the urn with others already there decks below.
I was fine until Taps sounded. It brings tears to my eyes even now.
Remember!!
Dave
