Amazon founder’s gift honors late civil-rights leader John Lewis, nonprofit says
Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos will donate $100 million to former President Barack Obama’s private foundation, the Obama Foundation said Monday.
The donation is the largest individual gift in the nonprofit’s seven-year-old history, and is intended to help train emerging leaders in the U.S. and abroad, the foundation said. Mr. Obama served two terms as president from January 2009 to January 2017.
