A university spokesperson told Fox News the graphic was meant to refer to student populations which are considered underrepresented
During a presentation by the University of Maryland president on Wednesday afternoon, one graphic meant to show admission and enrollment statistics excluded Asian students from the “Students of Color” group.
The graphic, presented by University of Maryland president Darryll Pines during the university senate “State of the Campus” report, shows new freshman admission and enrollment from fall 2017 through fall 2021. However, the graphic separated students into two groups: “Students of Color, minus Asian” and “White or Asian Students.”
A University of Maryland spokesperson told Fox News that the graphic was meant to refer to “student populations that are considered underrepresented on our campus.”

Asians are a better investment. They see America for the opportunity it IS . A dear friend of mine from China came here alone with nothing and is an advanced nurse she opens and closes for surgeons and had she gotten here sooner would be a surgeon herself. She took all the overnight and weekend call and put her son through private school and college dept free and just relocated him to LA to take a great job in the tech industry and left her ten year old car with him flew home and paid cash for a new car of her own and nearing retirement still works and picks up call and bonus shifts and is the proudest hardworking American I know and constantly humbles and reminds me how fortunate we are here and herself never understands why people do not work harder and take advantage of it and laughs at all our shopping, expensive gadgets, hobbies and vacations and debt she can not fathom. Not all immigrants are here handing on hand outs and being exploited by employers and slum lords. Many come here and live the dream that many our grandparents did and are thrilled and successful about it. Has nothing to do with race, class or color we have generations of assumed entitled WHITES that have accomplished little with a 200 year head start and are no better off now than their indentured Ancestors but still think they have some say in matters having made nothing of themselves.
