It’s a practical reset. Makes us smarter and thriftier and more thoughtful consumers planning meals and managing budgets and not just SHOPPING like it’s some National Passtime. Those ships in the ” Supply Chain ” could all sink it’s all going to end up in a landfill here soon enough. We have to eat of course but if you go to your local farmers market and support local butchers and just do not eat so much and buy so much household crap. Hyper Capitalism has duped us into living above and beyond our means and saving the money we bitch about not having. Before the Shamdemic my work took me abroad to other supposed ” First
World Nations ” Germany,France,England, Eastern Europe before Airbnb’s I would stay with friends and associates and was always amazed how tidy and simply conscious and determined they lived with humble uncluttered homes and often owning a vacation home. These were Middle-Class people some educated and some trades people. Something has gone awfully wrong HERE. They ask about our Politics and gun violence in disbelief having thought America was Great and a World Leader after WW2. Just wanting to MAGA in some Trumpian guilded tacky resort toileted fantasy does not require us to change our lives and habits and return to the resourcefulness and grit that makes us Americans………..that currently is a laughing stock in the Free World.
