A Message From Pam Fields Price

Since Mayor Wells wants to post an email about waving annexation fees on a business I was suppose to bring to Delmar from 2015, I want to make sure you have the whole story. In 2014 I bought the old Flowers By Hearn building that was falling down and was a horrible eye sore on the main street and was going to build this $500k house for my Remax office. I was told by multiple people within the town that they can wave those fees or can spread them out over a few years to attract businesses. I was new to all of this and couldn’t have made this up if I wanted to. Wells took office and apparently that isn’t how she operated, I mean obviously…look at the lack of business growth there. Let’s think of it this way….they are collecting a few hundred dollars on that property a year that is a huge eye sore vs thousands if I built there. Not to mention the beauty of a huge Victorian house you would see entering into the town. This is the reason the town is sitting with 50% shortage in their police department, schools and waste water are maxed out. They focus on residential growth and have no interest in bringing businesses that would bring in tens of thousands of dollars a year in revenue to the town.

I will close with this. I have spent over $10k out of my own pocket and 100s of hours away from my family and business that I will never get back since the death of CPL. Heacook, to support and advocate for the police and the citizens of the town. I have started a community clean up to help town residents with things that they are being cited from the town because they have fallen on hard times and can’t complete the jobs, physically or financially. These are the things that make me a leader in my community. I don’t need a title. I just love my hometown that much. I may have moved a few miles north but that doesn’t change my love for Delmar
