Southwest airlines canceled nearly 2,000 flights between Saturday and Sunday – blaming the FAA and the weather for problems that didn’t seem to affect other airlines. According to FlightAware, Southwest canceled over 1,000 of the flights on Sunday.
“We experienced significant impact in the Florida airports [Friday] evening after an FAA-imposed air traffic management program was implemented due to weather and resulted in a large number of cancellations,” Alan Kasher, who oversees Southwest’s flight operations, in a statement obtained by several news outlets on Saturday.
A family member of mine works in aviation…his company stands to lose 20% of mechanics, management, etc from refusal to get vaccinated. He is leaving for another company that is not forcing the vaccine, but letting them test. The number of people that will refuse the jab could potentially cripple the company he is leaving… this is not going to end well for all the airlines, not to mention the problems that will ripple all over the world because of it.
This vaccine mandate BS must stop! Biden has not right to impose this on the American people. They are entitled to make a living. The only ones that are entitled are the ones that refuse to work under any conditions. They don’t have to get a vaccine……..just stay home and wait for the free stuff to come pouring in.
He hasn’t imposed anything nor can he without Congress. The information being released has a “date” for FEDS. Private industry can do what it pleases.
So all this talk and fear is getting the Administration what they want and thats folks getting vaccinated. Legal has already told the admin of the consequences of attempting a mandate for FEDS (roughly 3 million plus another 3 or so million contractors) and that would be court battles and a huge brain drain of experience. That cannot nor will not happen.
So instead you float out comments of getting the federal govt vaccinated by a certain date – the media runs with it, folks who are not FEDS talk about it and before you know it, the message changed to a MANDATE and folks are up in arms.
Private industry is not run by the Administration and the majority of Americans work in the private sector. If a private business says no masks means no service there isn’t anything anyone can do about it. If a private business says you must have the jab and you don’t – more than likely you will not be working for that business anymore. And there is nothing anyone can do about it.
Fear gets results but cost lots of $$$$$$ long term. Results of 9/11/01 over 20 years comes to mind.
