I say again- all public school are failures. They were failures as soon as government took them over. Do you know that back in the 1800’s, if a community wanted a school- the men of the town built a building and the people who wanted the school passed a hat for the teacher’s salary. Schooling was NOT mandatory.
The reason is was made mandatory is because bigot Protestants (like Woodrow Wilson) hated the idea of those filthy Italians and Irish Catholics coming in a out breeding the good little Methodists. So school was made mandatory to beat the Catholicism and the ethnicity out of them.
If you work at a public school now, you are either evil or stupid- or both. There is no other option. School teacher no longer are expected to know the subject they teach (you would want, say a mathematician to teach math). Instead, they are all “education majors”. Beware the Ed Majors- they know NOTHING except the latest trendy psychobabble.
