If that sounds bizarre, then you’re right. But you’ve also probably never attended Dewey Beach’s famous Running of the Bull.
The popular event that draws thousands of visitors to The Starboard and Dewey Beach coastline is back for its 24th year on Saturday, Aug. 21.
And after cancelling last year and postponing until later in the summer this year, the organizers are beyond ready for the shenanigans to begin.
Michael McDonnell, one of the founders of the Bull Run, said in a press release that he couldn’t be more excited.
“One of the more hilarious parts of the Bull Run is seeing the traditional Pamplona attire for the event,” he said. “When I look out over the crowd and see a sea of white shirts and red bandanas, it is just such a highlight for me! I feel like I’m right back in Spain!”
