  1. I was there, (at Tidal Health, PRMC) for an emergency surgery procedure and afterward I was placed on the covid wing to recover due to asymptomatic test results.

In the 4 – 5 days that i was there, i observed dirt and grime around the edges of the room, there were clumps of dust and hair behind the bathroom door, the trash can was stuffed into the shower stall (where there was trash that had missed the can) and i only saw the cleaning crew once… and they pretty much ran a wet swiffer around the general walk area around the bed and left.

My white socks were black on the bottoms just from walking around the room i was in… i was eventually given the gripper socks on my last day.

Aside from just a couple of low level staff, the doctors and nurses were rough and quick to get what they needed done and leave as soon as possible. I could understand their need to be speedy, but they had masks, face shields and the yellow paper vests on every time before they entered. The only positive was that as a patient, once you were in the room, a mask was no longer required.

One of the doctors spent their entire visit with me (about 10 – 15 minutes) trying to coerce me to take the vaccine and finally left without a word once he realized i was not going to consent.

On my last day, the nurse was removing my IV cannula for discharge. After mentioning that i had seen another nurse replace the tape the day before with an alcohol swap to loosen the adhesive, the nurse ignored my request and started pulling off all three plastic tape strips while i rived in pain. My hair was pulled out of my arm and against the direction of the hair.

I can only assume that she had noticed that i did not receive the vaccine before i left and that she was in a hurry to free up the room.

If the health department visited these quarantine rooms on the 5th floor, they would have them cited, but then again i doubt they would care.

  2. Okay, 88 new cases in 3 days. Will the Health Department let the public know what areas these 88 people had in common so that unknowing citizens will not go to those high contact areas? The answer is No. How do I know that? As a member of the Wicomico County School Board I tried to get this information many times to help us make logical decisions and to let parents know as soon as possible. Someone told me the state has this information. Well, our Health Department workers are state employees with their paychecks being paid from county funds. Why won’t they give us this information? I don’t know but it looks like we’re going to go through this again.
Personally I’d like to know the following answers: How many of the 88 new cases had covid vaccinations? How many have serious pre- existing conditions? What are the ages? Of the 88 how many are already sent home. The figures in the article simply don’t add up. Perhaps parents can contact the Health Departments to get these figures. Everything in Wicomico is just pure bureaucracy. John Palmer, Wicomico County School Board.

  3. There are 20 people in the hospital who have tested positive. One more person has died. Those are the only figures that matter.

  4. I agree with Mr. Palmer. Where are these cases? Are they at the chicken plant, nursing homes or scattered through out the county. What is the health department hiding?

  5. There will be a lawsuit on PRMC if I was quarantined with covid 19 patients when I was not admitted with this germ warfare.

This is the most unsanitary medical facility on the Shore.

  6. How many cases of the “FLUE” has been reported or is everything still listed / documented as COVID.
I have not seen any reports on the “FLUE” since they document everything on COVID. AMAZING no “FLUE” cases in the last 2 years.
