HEALTH DEPARTMENT REOPENS COVID-19 CALL CENTER

(August 11, 2021, Salisbury, MD) Due to increased calls from community, the Wicomico County Health Department will reopen the COVID-19 Call Center on August 12th, 2021. Operating Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the call center will have general information about COVID-19, testing locations, and vaccine clinics. Community members can contact the call center at (410) 341-4600.

As the CDC considers Wicomico County an area of high transmission, the health department recommends:

·       Wearing a mask indoors and when in crowded areas, regardless of vaccination status.

·       Getting vaccinated. For local clinic dates and times, visit www.wicomicohealth.org.

·       Getting tested and following quarantine guidelines if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

For more information on COVID-19, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at www.cdc.gov or the Maryland Department of Health at coronavirus.marylan.gov. The Wicomico County Health Department will continue to share COVID-19 updates on www.wicomicohealth.org, Facebook, Instagram (WicomicoHealth) or Twitter (@WicomicoHealth).

  1. My biggest issue is when I come home from work and have to weave between all the ambulances on my streets that are picking up all the bodies of the Covid patients. Right? That’s happening in your neighborhood too, right?

    Right?
