Owners of small businesses lost confidence in July as Covid-19 infections accelerated and companies from Amazon to Wells Fargo announced they would push back the reopenings of their offices.
The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index fell 2.8 points to 99.7., the National Federation of Independent Business said Tuesday. In June the index had claimed 2.9 points.
Economists had forecast another gain to 102.
“Small business owners are losing confidence in the strength of the economy and expect a slowdown in job creation,” NFIB chief economist Bill Dunkelberg said.
Sales expectations over the next three months fell 11 points to a net negative 4 percent of owners. NFIB described this as “a stubbornly negative view bust based on their reality.”
Every one of them with owners that voted “D” in the last election for anyone – got what voted for!
Big surprise, people would rather not be cussed at, punched, or have a gun pointed at them because some nitwit didn’t get enough salt on his fries for $9/hr and no benefits.
OH Well LEAN in mom and pop or maybe hire some illegals . You’ll figure it out.
OMG people of this country better open your eyes. Joe Biden and the Democrats are trying to close down SMALL BUSINESS and beef up Wallstreet. They just lie everyday to the people that they are doing the opposite. That is not so. This is why our country is beginning to deteriorate as we know it.
Like your Biden said > then PAY MORE !!! LOL LOL LOL
It’s not broken. This is the intent of these leftist policies. Duh!
Small business Pays SMALL !!!! So nobody wants it !!!
