How come we never see or hear anything about the normal every day “FLU” only about COVID-19 China germ warfare? Is there no cases of the normal “FLU”?

Why do people run and get a test for a cough, sniffles or sore throat and even maybe a little fever. I don’t. Stay home or even a good old fashion over the counter medicine will do.
