Date and Time: 7/22/2021 @ 2330 hoursLocation: Area of College Lane, Salisbury, Wicomico County
Suspect: Jabre Lamar Hankerson, 25, of Salisbury, Maryland
Narrative: On 7/23/2021 at approximately 2330 hrs, troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were on patrol in the area of College Lane when TFC Monk observed a black SUV traveling above a reasonable and prudent speed. The driver quickly approached the rear of TFC Monk’s patrol vehicle, and the driver had to maneuver the SUV to avoid colliding with the patrol vehicle. During the driver’s evasive action in an attempt to avoid colliding with the patrol vehicle, the vehicle was turned towards a center concrete barrier wall which caused the driver to again swerve to avoid a collision.

TFC Monk performed a traffic stop on the SUV and made contact with the driver who was identified
as Jabre Lamar Hankerson. During the traffic stop, Hankerson was requested to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to determine sobriety. Hankerson’s performance suggested he was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and he was placed under arrest.

A search of the vehicle was completed and resulted in the seizure of $22,333 in US currency and 116
grams of cocaine.

Hankerson was charged with the possession of the schedule II drug, cocaine, with the intent to
distribute. Both the large amount of US currency and cocaine was seized. Hankerson was additionally
charged with DUI/DWI but refused an evidentiary breath test. Hankerson was held without a bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
