During a CNN town hall on Wednesday, President Biden said he is “continuing to push” for a ban on weapons that can fire multiple rounds, including handguns.
The statement came after an audience member asked how he planned to address gun violence at the federal level “to actually bring about change and make our local cities safer.”
“I’m the only guy that ever got — passed legislation when I was a senator to make sure we eliminated assault weapons,” Biden responded. “The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it’s a, whether it’s a 9mm pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous.”
“I’m continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things, but I’m not likely to get that done in the near term,” Biden added.

We have the strictest gun laws here in Maryland yet a few weeks ago the mother of a Navy football player visiting Baltimore for his game was shot and killed while she say outdoors at her hotel. The killer had been arrested at least 5 times for having a gun. He was arrested the day after the killing for another reason. When they did arrest him for the killing they said the gun he had on him did not match the gun she was killed with. So that means he has had at least 6 guns. He has not been permitted to have a gun in the last 11 years. Case search is full of all his arrests. Assault, battery, drugs, and in each case having a handgun. He served very little jail time. If I remember correctly it all added up to less than a year. Proof that the criminals will be the only ones having guns. They can get them when ever they want it seems.
I vaguely remember him flexing saying the government has F-16’s and nukes. How on gods green earth does this dingus get control over our military and at the same time try to ban firearms of practically every kind? This unduly placed person needs to be removed immediately from public office and be investigated for his pay to play schemes!
