Overdose Deaths Increased Again in Delaware in 2020

Overdose deaths in Delaware increased in 2020 from the year before, new data show.
The state reported 447 overdose deaths statewide last year – up from 431 in 2019, the News Journal reported  Friday.
Fentanyl, a dangerously powerful opioid, was found as a contributor in 372 of those deaths, according to a report from the state Division of Forensic Science.
Heroin was found in 94 of those deaths, and cocaine was present in 152.
The U.S. government reported  earlier this week that nationally, overdose deaths soared to a record 93,000 last year in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
That estimate far eclipsed the high of about 72,000 drug overdose deaths reached the previous year and amounted to a 29% increase.

  1. You can give credit to the 2020 election Biden & Harris winning and a worst disaster every month since they defunded the police. Biden ruined Delaware for years ask the people about the real Biden for years known as a racist, his real estate ventures and properties, and what did he ever accomplish for his home state but line his pockets.
