2 MD Cities Named Best Places To Live By U.S. News

MARYLAND — Nearly one-third of Americans say the coronavirus pandemic has them re-evaluating where they live, according to a new ranking. With that in mind, some of them may want to consider moving to two Maryland communities that couldn’t be more different, but both earned high marks.

The Eastern Shore city of Salisbury is now listed as the 95th best place to live in the United States, according to a new ranking released this week by U.S. News & World Report. The other Maryland city that made the list is the city of Baltimore at No. 100.

The 2021-22 list ranks the country’s 150 most populous metropolitan areas based on affordability, job prospects and desirability. This year, researchers also looked at how the top communities fared throughout the pandemic and how much work is needed to recover.

  1. Just a note to the gullible funnel in the mouth drinkers from this firehose, Salisbury and Baltimore have the highest crime rates in the State and are among the highest in the NATION, so, there’s that.

    1. Both locations are known for their homegrown hood rats, who
perpetrate 90% of major crimes, the most violent of which are
committed against people that they know.

  2. As long as these “cities” tow the narrative, they will be rewarded. “Hey look! A rainbow flag! Let’s ignore the +200% rise in homicide!”

  3. Someone told me about this last week and I thought it was a joke. If they’re counting the surrounding towns, then yes, I could see it, although the taxes are still high and you’re in a dark blue state. There’s a reason so many who are tied to the area are fleeing to Delmar, Hebron, and Mardela, and it’s to get out of the Salisbury city schools.

  4. Who in the hell took this poll, I grew up in Salisbury and watched it go downhill year after year. If it is so great then why is everything closing up and leaving town. Probably because of Salisbury’s leadership, my advice to those of you who live inside the city limits ban together and rid of these fools, you might want to go back and do an audit on Salisbury’s Mayor election too. Seriously anybody that has been living in Salisbury can’t be happy with what this fool Mayor has done and is doing to Salisbury. I have seen a lot of rotten Mayors come and go but Day is the worst one Salisbury has ever had.

  5. Their study is a complete failure the crime 1. Murders higher than ever, 2. Rapes higher than ever 3. Forced entry break-ins higher than ever. They need to seriously check those results you can’t trust PR through Jake Day & Barbara Duncan both need impeachment ASAP.

  6. 1. Make sure that their life insurance is paid up.
    2. Don’t go out at night.
    3. Don’t put your kids in the public schools.
    4. Don’t plan on staying very long.

  7. But did you notice how far down on the list that Salisbury and Baltimore are? They aren;t like in the top 10.
