Biden Admin Expands Tuition Breaks For Future Teachers, Removes GPA Requirement To Provide Access To ‘Students Of Color’

The Biden administration announced a plan to expand tuition breaks for future teachers and remove GPA requirements for grant recipients in hopes of providing access to “students of color.”

The Department of Education oversees the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) grant program, which provides tuition breaks for students obtaining degrees in education who commit to teaching in “high-need fields and underserved schools” for four years after graduation. The Biden administration, with the support of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, announced that the annual grant amount for third and fourth-year students will double to $8,000 per recipient.

  1. So dont you think its about time we DEMAND a national school voucher program.DEFUND PUBLIC EDUCATION as we know it. Its pretty obvious that WE CAN NO LONGER TRUST government meddling in our education system.

  2. Genius plan! What could be more inspiring to lagging, no-effort students, especially those of color, than to get admitted to and graduated from some college somewhere and slotted to teach the next generation of lagging, no-effort students, especially those of color.

That is how you build and maintain a cycle of ever lower accomplishment.

Are they saying that students of color can’t get good grades?

  4. Outstanding. Schools are already failing and now we want to usher in unqualified individuals based on their skin color. Anyone want to wager a guess how that will turn out? If you are a parent of school aged children, would you want an unqualified teacher instructing your child?

Don’t get me wrong, I generally hold teachers in high regard (except for the looney, liberal kind) and those I do know personally work tirelessly for their students, but if the best qualified can’t succeed (and who could in the face of ridiculously bad parenting, no parenting at all, abhorrent social concerns and situations, and the stench of drugs and crime), what hope do the unqualified have to turn things around? I personally think this is how the teachers unions (or associations or whatever they call themselves today) are going to game the system to push CRT and continue to indoctrinate children as much as they can.

I’ve asked the opinion of this situation just last night to some friends who are teachers and they are all disgusted. For the most part, they are republican, conservative and very dedicated (yes, they all live and teach in Wicomico, crazy as that may be to believe). The consensus? They are all looking to transfer to Worcester – not that Worcester is all roses, but it’s a lot better than what they are dealing with now.

  5. Teacher moral is very low in Wicomico County and is denied by the administration. One reason is minorities are being hired because of their race and not their qualifications. the push is to hire minorities .

  6. Blacks are always Favored > it’s called Affirmative Action (Reverse Discrimination ) over 50 years now !!!

  7. Biden is a racist (against Whites- his own color) who is so simple minded he doesn’t know which end is up. This is illegal what he wants to do. What the hell is wrong with that old codger?
