  1. It doesn’t take that long to figure out what went wrong. Ocean City Fire Marshals are just being their usual asshats. If it takes them “days” to figure it out maybe you should call in an educated Fire Marshal. The Mayor is not going to be happy about this once all the backlash hits his desk.

    1. The Mayor upset? Hahahha he had beer in hand when this happened. Same years ago during the 4th when the route 50 bridge broke.

You get exactly what you paid. Next major event on the schedule – White Marlin in a month. At a new location too!

  2. At one time, not to long ago, only the Office of the State Fire Marshal handled ALL fireworks, not the jack legs that are fake fire marshals in Ocean City. Funny how the Maryland Fire Marshal’s Office posted this tweet. Looks like they don’t trust the Ocean $hitty Far Marshells either!

The OSFM is monitoring the fireworks explosion in @OCMaryland. Ocean City Fire Marshals Office is the lead agency and will be conducting the investigation into the incident. They have released a statement of their FB page. #OCFireworksExplosion

    1. What an embarrassment this town has become! What do you say now, Mary Beth Corozza? This happened under your watch! Are you going to rush back up to the General Assembly and demand that special laws be made just for y’all?

What about some of that Free Covid Money for Ocean City!

  3. The contract called for an evening controlled fireworks display. The contract was not fulfilled. The provider is bonded and insured. The town won’t lose the money it paid or promised to pay.

  4. With this unfortunate change of events, i guess the town wont make as much for parking ($5 a hour) as planned. Good business practice is always having a backup plan. Even if its crazy.

  5. What most people don’ t realize is that OC’s “charter” permits them to raise property taxes to what ever they spend. In other words, residents can says they can
