Local group wants a recall of Baltimore’s elected officials

A group of business and community leaders are preparing to launch a recall petition drive for Baltimore’s top elected officials.

“It’s not the answer, but it’s a knock on the door,” said Pastor Shannon Wright, who helped organize the recall petition.

In a letter to City Councilman Mark Conway, the group is asking that the city’s legislative investigations committee probe the “misdeeds” of five city officials: Mayor Brandon Scott, City Council President Nick Mosby, City Council Vice President Sharon Green Middleton, Councilman Robert Stokes and Councilman Ryan Dorsey.

“If you live in any neighborhood in this city, there is really economic demise,” said businessman Mike Hernandez.
