Democrats in Congress want to legalize ALL drugs!

Two Democrats in Congress are proposing that the United States concede unconditional surrender in its “War on Drugs,” 50 years after President Richard Nixon declared it.

It’s Reps. Bonnie Coleman, of New Jersey, and Cori Bush, of Missouri who on Tuesday revealed their plans for the “Drug Policy Reform Act,” which would “end criminal penalties for drug possession at the federal level.”

It would also penalize states that still maintain penalties in their state laws.

They claim their plan would eliminate “many of the life-long consequences associated with drug arrests and convictions, including the denial of employment, public benefits, immigration status, drivers’ licenses, and voting rights.”

That illegal drugs have been a scourge for America isn’t in doubt. In recent years there have been many estimates about its cost.

  1. Good, the war on drugs has been a complete failure and full legalization would release many non-violent offenders from our overcrowded prisons. It also opens up more opportunity for those who have a harder time with rehabilitation and sobriety, making it safer and easier to move away from the physical dependence that their bodies have developed to these drugs.

  2. Mmmmm. They’ve been illegal so long. And the war on drugs and all that bullshit going on. There wouldn’t be many people in jail. No way it would happen now. To much money in courts and corrections lost.

    1. Too much tax revenue to pass up on since are taxed to the hilt. Plus raising “taxes” on tobacco isnt generating anything given less than 25% of the country still smoke. We r in this Century’s roaring 20’s and a new.revenue stream is badly needed. Not $500 or $600+ per night rates on the island right now. Speaking of that, have a manager over.there. Belief is jacking up the prices since there is demand….and trying to recoup lost money from last Summer. Told her ok about supply demand but if they are chasing lost revenue, hopefully that mindset is short term since you never ever recoup lost money. Never.

  3. Legalize all of the vices and tax them. Drugs, booze, and sex, America should be a Utopia for everyone. If taxes were on all the vices we could drop income taxes on most of the citizens.

  4. Most violence in the US has nothing to do with drugs. Fentanyl and heroin in moderation is fine. People over dose do to fear of being caught. However I would not allow doctors to write pain medication because that is how addiction starts. At least the politician that wrote the Crime Bill is no longer in office. That moron purposely targeted black Americans he was a total pos. Thanks.

  5. How many people are barred from owning a gun simply by one of these convictions?
They will all be legally eligible after their records are expunged…..

  6. Politicians are corrupt

    Never Happen

too many Congressmen making millions bringing in drugs through various means into the United States.

    This will fade away
