Coronavirus lockdowns prompted a rise in home-schooling as parents’ attitudes have shifted positively toward home education.
In March, the Census Bureau released a report showing the percentage of households that were home-schooling children doubled during the coronavirus.
Before the pandemic, only 5.4 percent of households reported home-schooling children. During the pandemic, that number jumped to 11.1 percent. The Household Pulse Survey questions asked about home-schooling as a choice separate from remote learning.
Homeschooling is a great option, at the time we did it. At that time it was NO threat to the “Education” system. The more it becomes a threat to teachers, and teachers’ unions, they will find a way to make it near impossible. They will get laws in place to take the option away. The “Teacher” and teacher unions have taken a listen from big pharm. They feel we need them more than they need us. It is NO longer about teaching, more than brainwashing and collecting salary and bitching about how hard their job is. There are plenty more jobs out there a lot tougher than being a liberal teacher.
