The Department of Labor & Industry announced that Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate has fallen low enough to automatically conclude the Extended Benefits program.
The program officially concluded the claim week ending on May 15, 2021.
Last week, L&I said the approximately 7,000 people filing for benefits on the EB program will be moved to the federal Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation Program beginning May 16.
The PEUC program will be available for eligible individuals until the week ending Sept. 4.
The change in program does not cause any changes in the filing process or benefit amount, L&I said.

Huh? Someone state folks are sitting at home collecting free $$$$$? True unemployment has not fallen, it has increased on top of the numbers reported. BLS shows reported numbers. Oh, Bureau of Labor and Statistics, aka Labor Department. They also report figures each month, which impact decisions made by those few that can play the stock market. Most cannot play. The same stock market that triggers inflation for the majority.
There are those indeed staying at home and receiving $$$ because they don’t want to work at the wages provided. One still cannot live off of $15.00 (if implemented by State/local agencies) regardless what the administration or left state.
