Police banned from participating in New York City Pride events until 2025

Law enforcement and corrections personnel have been banned from participating in New York City Pride events until 2025, event organizers announced Saturday.

Event organizers said that they will not promote law enforcement on their social media accounts or any Pride-owned media through mentions, interviews or spotlights and “will not allow NYPD to speak at its events or use any NYC Pride platform.”

The group is also attempting to limit the presence of on-duty police officers at its events.

Community-based security such as private security and first responders will be present at Pride events this year with an increased budget, Heritage of Pride said.

  1. This is the most ludicrous crap lately. Good, maybe they should be ban themselves from working the detail. When someone is in need of help they could have social workers go and disarm the bad boyz.

  2. Why are you losers pretending you give two shits about the NYC Gay Pride Parade?

For the past year, the Stonewall community has been holding protests that have been attacked and disrupted by the NYPD. They’re right to keep them from marching. NYPD shouldn’t be pretending to care about their community one second and clubbing them for protesting the next.
